Wine Description
Our 2018 Cabernet was pulled from the best parts of Lake County, Alexander
Valley, and Northern Napa Valley. The blend is 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5%
Petit Verdot, and 5% Malbec.
Gastronomic matches
The wine was aged in French oak for 16 months, which has allowed for it to
have a beautiful Cardinal Red color. The nose is rich with cassis, brambleberry,
toasted vanilla short bread, and huckleberry. Bold body with a weighty
mid-pallet. The tannin structure is soft yet fine that carries for a lingering finish.
As always, this Cartlidge & Browne cabernet sauvignon pairs perfectly with
food. We suggest a Blue Cheese Burger, Short Ribs, or a nice New York Steak.
