The youngest daughter in the McPherson clan, Catriona rebelled against family tradition and became a lawyer. Now married with 3 children she juggles family life and corporate law, and on the weekends heads to the vineyard to relax with family and her favourite Chardonnay.

This wine was crafted from 100% Chardonnay grapes, sourced from our vineyards in the Goulburn Valley, located within Central Victoria. Grapes were picked and crushed during the cool of night so as to retain their fresh, varietal flavours. The juice was then divided into various parcels. Each parcel of juice underwent a different treatment, such as malolactic fermentation; fermentation and aging with French oak; or spending an extending period on yeast lees. These treatments resulted in an individually flavoured parcel of wine with the unique character and personality of the final blend a result of the special handling of various winemaking techniques.
It’s a wrap for another season and once again Mother Nature has dished us out a few challenges! Due to an extremely hot January vintage began a week or two later than normal, and once we got picking whites and reds rolled in at a cracking pace. While yields were lower than anticipated whilst reds were on par with previous years. Overall it was another great vintage with bright and fresh whites and beautifully coloured, rich reds.
A fresh, fruit driven wine displaying aromas of tropical fruits and peaches with just a hint of lightly toasted oak. The palate exhibits fresh, ripe, Chardonnay flavours of melon and fig with a delicate, creamy texture and a crisp, clean finish. Very subtle oak handling complements and completes the wine.
McPherson Chardonnay is a versatile wine that pairs well with a wide range of foods. Brilliant with roast chicken and grilled fish, or char grilled calamari.
